About the Applause Mattress

All Naturelle mattresses are covered with the same entirely natural fabric composed of cotton, bamboo, viscose and eucalyptus fibres manufactured specifically for Naturelle. Onto this fabric is quilted our unique blend of 800grams per square metre Merino and British Shetland sheep’s wool.

Naturelle’s Applause pocket springs are made from high, pre-stressed carbon steel for perfect independent support and are guaranteed to give many years of consistent support to individuals of up to 120 kilograms. A 50mm layer of pure organic latex (Dunlop method) is fixed to the pocket springs and wool cover with our entirely natural, plant-based adhesive.

We custom-make to any size or shape and extra length is available at no additional cost – we’d love to talk to you in this regard.

Truly the best mattress we’ve had by far! I have been mulling over how to best express our views on the Naturelle Ovation we bought in March 2020…. But simple does it - you will NOT find a better latex mattress on the market than the Naturelle. After two years it is still as firm as the day we bought it. I would highly recommend this for someone suffering from back pain, as it gives just the right amount of support. Also, as far as I know, the only natural latex mattress available in SA as opposed to PU. After trying various latex options from competing brands and subsequent disappointment, I am truly grateful that we have now found our go-to mattress. Definitely worth investing in good rest!!

I have chronic back pain. As a result I got the apparent height of technology: a memory foam bed. It was worse than disappointing. It became saggy, smelled horrible and I'd get sweaty as heck on it! I then learned that although it distributes the pressure, it has almost no bounce-back. This means that to turn over, one has to wake up and exert significant effort to overcome the body-shaped pocket. Enter Naturelle's Latex bed. Amazing! Durable! Two years later and it's still in great shape. My back is doing better than ever and sleep is relatively consistent. I'm just about to get a summer natural duvet from them as I love my other duvet so much! Great investment in a breathable bed that won't need replacing for many years!
